@Marcusartists Stanley Watras was employed as a construction engineer at Limerick nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania when he set off the radiation alarms on his way to work in 1984. this was due to a large granite rock underneath his house. why dont you look it up? its well documented EVERYWHERE on the internet.

Napalmdeath420 July 30, 2010 at 5:20 am

there was a guy who worked in a nuclear facility that set off the radiation alarms everytime he went to work. they later found out that he had a large granite rock under his house. now……. his levels of radon gas were equivelent to smoking 135 PACKS of cigarettes A DAY. now tell me that granite doesnt produce enough radon gas to do any damage.

DerektheDuctTape July 30, 2010 at 5:51 am

granite does contain Uranium, which can produce Radon, but it is not enough to do damage.

vmelkon July 30, 2010 at 6:06 am

No need to test for radon. If you are worried, remove the granite and throw it out.

24,000 plus people die from lung cancer every year in the USA.

Clevelandmarko July 30, 2010 at 8:49 am

Do a radon test. Make a 3X3X3 tent above the table and use a canister.
